Ray Pillipow is a Fish & Wildlife Resource Manager for Ministry of Forests. Ray’s responsibilities are supporting a team of exceptional biologists in managing fish and wildlife resources in the Omineca Region/7A. Ray has been working for the Province of BC since 2001, starting as a Forest Renewal BC Watershed Restoration Specialist, Regional Fisheries Biologist, Fish & Wildlife Section Head and currently as a Fish & Wildlife Resource Manager. Professionally, Ray has an interest in human dimensions in resource management, and sustainable ecological functions in both fish and wildlife. Professional linkages related to the Nechako include upper Fraser/Nechako bull trout studies, white sturgeon studies and recovery, and FRBC watershed restoration studies and activities in Corkscrew Creek , Swanson Creek and Chilako River.
In his free time, Ray enjoys flyfishing trout streams, lakes, and catching new fish species in his travels. When not fishing, Ray is riding the fantastic mountain bike trails of BC with his family and friends, and in the winter enjoying downhill, cross country, backcountry skiing, and travelling.
